A typical timeline
Spring, junior year
Brainstorm, build the college list, map the plan.
Summer
Draft the personal statement while there’s time to think.
August to September
Work on supplements, UC PIQs, and activities lists. Prepare applications for early deadlines.
October onward
Review, polish, and submit applications according to each school’s deadlines.
