Get to know me

Hi, I’m Ali

After struggling in high school, I found strategies through trial and error that helped me succeed at UC Berkeley and USC. Now I help students discover what works for them, so they can do more than get through school. They can begin to enjoy learning as their skills and confidence grow.

My story

I understand how challenging school can be, not just with grades, but also with self esteem and confidence. I’ve been there too.

In high school, I struggled to figure out how to succeed, but everything changed when I learned strategies that worked for me. Those tools turned everything around and led to acceptance at my dream school, UC Berkeley, for undergrad, then USC for my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, and additional training in educational therapy.

Now, with over 15 years of experience, I help students strengthen their skills, boost their confidence, and build the resilience and independence they need to thrive in school and in life.

Let’s make learning a place where your child feels capable, confident, and proud of what they can achieve.

My unique approach

Many struggling students don’t just need more content review. They need someone who understands why learning feels so hard.

I take the time to uncover what’s beneath the surface: the habits, thought patterns and confidence gaps that can hold a student back just as much as missing skills.

My training as a Licensed marriage and Family Therapist helps me understand how mindset, motivation and emotional well-being affect learning. I bring that perspective to each client and family I work with, creating personalized plans that address the whole student. We strengthen the skills that matter for school, like organization, focus, reading, writing and math, while also building the confidence, resilience and independence that matter for life.

Every session is tailored to each student, with room to work through challenges and celebrate progress along the way.
